Floral Fantasy

Floral Fantasy

Another hostess gift–this time for my friend Pam who is hosting a small Spring House swap–made from the leftovers and bits from my work surface.  I think this particular obsession may go on for a while as I keep finding small punches, flowers, and images that just seem to need to be glued to ATCs.  I never quite knew what to do with  “microscope slide” collage sheets, but the images work perfectly in this mode.  The lovely lady is from the “Paris” sheet from one of my favorite Etsy shops, Majik Design by Susan.

My work surface has been strewn with all sorts of images and  pieces left over from collage sheets from which I have cut one or two images.  This past weekend I started cutting apart and trimming these “leftovers” and collecting them in one box. What fun it has been to sift through the pile to see what grabs my fancy!  I made this ATC as a gift for the hostess of our local mail swap, using parts from about four different sheets and some left over rub-ons. I am really enjoying making just one ATC design at a time and then starting all over again.

Another ATC made for the Yahoo swap group, this one for a “Vintage Nursery Rhyme” theme using vintage photos.  I thought this little cherub looked like he had been sleeping under the haystack instead of blowing his brass horn.  I even tried to create some haystacks in the borders.  I am still having fun gluing flowers and bits and bobs all over the place.

After a lovely Easter dinner with family, I spent the next few evenings making Easter ATCs.  Oh well, better late than never.  I needed to return my borrowed egg punch so I decided to get a lot of use from it.  Eggs everywhere!

The images are from a collage sheet and were mostly old advertising trade cards but they were just perfect for ATCs.

So…a belated happy Easter!

I made this ATC for a Vintage Easter Egg swap on Yahoo. I had to draw the egg shape free hand and I can see now that it’s just a little lopsided. Yikes!

One false start and one temper tantrum and “I quit” but now I think I have this blog thing figured out.  Maybe.  I hope.  Let’s see.

This is supposed to display an ATC I made for a friend who won an ATC Winner Take All lottery in an on-line group to which I belong.  I can see I need to learn how to use my camera pretty soon, too.

Thanks for stopping by.
